MRI

MRI is a multi-planar imaging modality capable of visualizing the different tissues within a region of interest.  This includes bone, tendon and ligament.  It also allows for multi-planar imaging, resulting in different views or planes without moving the horse.  Finally, MRI provides both anatomical and physiological information about the region of interest.  That means structure as well as fluid and inflammation can be visualized.  At CEO, the MRI is a unit that allows for imaging of the standing, sedated horse (above).
